friday market in llucmajor is the "big" market for the residence in the area.
besides the standard vendors this market also attracts the small unique vendors/ farmers from the region.
the friday market is a must for us because this is when our "caper lady" comes.
her marinated capers made me fall in love head over heels with capers.
since then i can't have any others.
we take as many jars as she has to offer (usually only a few) whenever we visit her stand.
besides capers her small stand offers eclectic local, fresh and in season fruits, vegetables and flowers.
to us the this market is timeless...
but somehow the pictures over the last few year tells a different story.
things does change.
slowly over time the more "professional" vendors (less personality offering a full range produce) take over.
slowly the small individual farmers who has the eclectic stands start to disappear.
nothing lasts forever.
as long as the sweet "caper lady" is there,
llucmajor friday market will remains as my favorite market.
and the "caper lady" will always be my favorite vendor.
